Magdalene Cheung, promoted to Senior Manager, Advertising Sales and Integrated Marketing will continue to be responsible for servicing and managing NGC's regional advertising clients and agencies in Hong Kong and Macau. She will also help out local ad sales teams with accounts targeting the Greater China region.

Sharon Lau has been promoted to Manager, Advertising Sales Projects. She was previously Senior Sales Planner. Sharon will continue to provide sales planning and operations support for the various regional ad sales teams in Asia and worldwide. Her main focus area will be managing and execution of integrated ad sales projects from across the region.

Christine Wong has been appointed as Senior Manager, Ad Sales Planning and Implementation. She will manage the regional ad sales planning and support team based in Hong Kong and play a key role in the pre and post sales process. Her main focus will be on driving new proposal ideas, concepts and initiatives for ad sales clients working closely with the programming, marketing and ad sales teams in Asia. Christine has more than 10 years of advertising and media experience, starting her career with Time Warner Cable in San Diego, USA and then moving to Hong Kong to join Turner as Ad Sales Planner. Her last assignment was with ad agency DDB in Shanghai and more recently in HK where she was Senior Account Manager on accounts such as Microsoft, Huawei and Philips.

Commenting on this expansion of the regional ad sales team, Avinash Himatsinghani, Vice President, Advertising Sales and Partnerships says "National Geographic Channel has grown rapidly in the region and globally. Our audience numbers are looking solid and over the past few years we've been successful in creating and growing some fantastic partnerships with advertisers and their agencies in Asia. The time has come for us to take this to new heights. The promotions of Magdalene and Sharon are a natural step towards this direction. We are delighted with the addition of Christine to advertising sales and partnerships team. Her experience and skill sets will definitely add great value to NGC's continuing efforts to garner a bigger share of the regional ad pie in Asia"
