Singapore, 19 September 2007 - National Geographic Channel Asia announces
the partnership with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), StarHub
and Samsung Asia to bring full high-definition (HD) experience to Singapore
Changi Airport. Renowned for its breathtaking visuals and compelling
storytelling, this first-time initiative seeks to provide business travellers
with the award-winning National Geographic Channel HD at its best.
From modern science to megastructures and from investigations to lost cultures
and natural history, National Geographic Channel HD offers viewers with unique
insights, groundbreaking findings and a truly unforgettable television
experience - all in amazing details, vibrant colours and theatre-quality
5.1-channel surround. Changi Airport business travellers will be able to
experience the full benefits of high-definition television (HDTV) with
Samsung's premium Full HD M8 LCD television and Samsung's award-winning
HT-TXQ120 full surround sound system. The high-definition "live feed"
to the showcase is provided by StarHub.
The 24-hour National Geographic Channel HD Showcase is located at
the Departure Transit Mall, Changi Airport Terminal 2, towards the
"E" Gates.
