COOKING THE WORLD

EPISODE GUIDE & SCHEDULE
"Fred discovers where you can have a feast of tasty, cheap, fresh but also very spicy food, in the streets of Thailand."
Cooking The World
« Mâi phèt, Mâi phèt ! » (less spicy, less spicy!) soon becomes Fred's catch phrase as he discovers that on the streets of Thailand for a few Bahts you can have a feast of tasty, cheap, fresh but also very spicy food. In Bangkok, our French cook is invited to a co-host a TV cooking show with the very fashionable Thai Chef, Ajarn Yingsak. In the mountains of the North, Fred travels to tribal areas, tasting the local delicacies and going knee deep in the paddy fields. Along the road, he uses his survival cooking set, exchanges secrets and discovers new recipes. After a rather unusual festival in the western city of Loei, Fred learns a new technique to catch shellfish where he ends up crawling in the mud.
