Identical Twins CGI
On a very rare occasion, the blastocyst, a collection of cells that rapidly multiplies, spontaneously splits into two after several days after conception. Each blastocyst is composed of cells with the same identical set of chromosomes carrying the same arrangements of genes along their length. The two blastocysts now have the potential to develop into identical twins.
